It was seven in the morning and I fumbled out bed. I was thinking to myself, Why did I get up so early on a SATURDAY. I was so tired, I tried to go back to bed but that didn’t help.
“Uhhhhhh!” I let out a big groan walking down the hallway.
“SHHHHH!” I heard Vinny hiss from his bed.
“Shut up” I said softly walking away.
“I heard that!” Vinny yelling from his bed. “It was meant to be heard!” I said as I approached the stairs.
After that lovely conversation, I trudged down stairs dragging my feet and almost tripped down the stairs but I made it without tripping. I went down another set of stairs and then turned on the Xbox. I didn’t know what to do so I stared at the home screen for like five minutes.
I walked up stairs again and poured myself a bowl of cereal. After that I went up stairs to see what Vinny was doing. He was just waking up to and was crawling out of his bed. He must of left his glasses on when he was sleeping because his glasses were crooked on his face.
“ What are you looking at.” He said with a yawn. Then he realized he left his glasses on.
“ I’m going down stairs to play Xbox, don’t try to join my game” He said with a groan.
“Okay I wasn’t gonna play it anyways Idiot.” I said to Vinny irritated that all he thinks of is Xbox.
“ No you’re the idiot!” he yelled at me from down stairs.
“Right back at ya” I whispered to myself
So after that I went to go see what dad was doing. So I walked to dad’s room to see what he was doing. “ Good Morning dad.” I said but I didn’t get a reply.
I heard someone crying in the room, it didn’t sound like dad more like a woman crying. I walked into the room to see what was happening. It was my Mom who was crying but I didn’t know why.
Then Mom moved out of the way and then I saw something. It was beloved dog Bacci lied right in front of me. Her eyes were pitch black, lifeless. She just layed there motionless I stood there motionless. “ Domenic Bacci has um passed” My mom said.
Then Vinny walked into the room and then he just stood there to just motionless. Vinny and I started to bawl and bawl.
Now to this day I’ve had Bacci, In ashes, on a mantel above the fireplace. Now I’ll always have Bacci with me. Dead or alive.
