It was time for Kody's three o'clock walk.
I put his leash and coat on and I let him run down the stairs. I opened the door and there was a family of squirrels on the hill.
Kody tugged on the leash. Then he broke free from his collar, leaving me with a leash without a dog.
"Kody," I called out. He looked at me and turn back around chasing the squirrels again. I ran after him calling his name. He kept running around the hill after the squirrels. He ran past me and into a field that leaded to a parking lot. He ran to the parking lot in the middle of the street a car was about to drive past and Kody stopped. The car stopped. I ran out and got Kody. I hugged him tight and ran home to tell my mom what happened.
